Federal health officials say the outbreak has affected more than 470 people in 43 states so far. The contamination may be linked to six deaths. Kellogg recalled 16 products as federal officials continue to try and pinpoint the cause of the outbreak. So avoid eating cookies, cakes, ice cream and other foods that contain peanut butter until authorities can learn more about a deadly outbreak of salmonella contamination.
