Jeanie Buss and Jerry Buss – Gerald Hatten Buss is an American professional basketball team owner. Jerry Buss born 27 January 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah., but we talk about Jeanie, not Jerry, the Buss that now drives Lakers’ Jackson. Jeanie Buss is the daughter of Los Angeles Laker owner Jerry Buss. Jeanie Buss is currently the Executive Vice President of Business Operations of the Lakers. 
Jeanie Buss posed on for Sports Illustrated and Playboy magazine. Jeanie Buss is currently dating Laker coach Phil Jackson, and used to date tennis star John McEnroe.
According to wiki, Buss became an owner in World Team Tennis. Jerry Buss purchased the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA along with the Los Angeles Kings hockey team of the NHL, The Forum, and a large ranch from Jack Kent Cooke in 1979. The purchase price, $67.5 million, made it the largest transaction in sports history at that time.
The Lakers have been very successful under Buss’ ownership, winning nine NBA championships with such players as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant.
