iPhone 3.1 – iPhone SDK 3.1 beta and iPhone OS 3.1 beta are now posted to the iPhone Dev Center. These versions are for development and testing only and should be installed on devices dedicated to iPhone OS 3.1 beta software development.
Read the iPhone OS Pre-Install Advisory first and the iPhone SDK 3.1 beta release notes before downloading and installing iPhone SDK 3.1 beta and iPhone OS 3.1 beta.
Available now via developer.apple.com, and TiPb once again reminds non-developers to stay clear, avoid potential problems, and wait for the general release.
iPhone 3.1 Apple Feature:
- The iPhone 3.1 will let you save a copy of video locally, so you can edit without overwriting the captured video.
- Additionally Voice Control is supposed to work now over Bluetooth, iPhone vibrates when moving icons, new Video APIs and improvements to OpenGL.
- If the new iPhone 3.1 OS is fixing the overheating issue some iPhone owners reported is not clear until now, I hope.
