Fantasy Island Star Ricardo Montalban died Wednesday morning 14- 01- 2009 at his Los Angeles home of complications related to old age. Ricardo Montalban was also an outspoken activist on behalf of Latinos in showbiz.

Ricardo Montalban founded the non-profit organization Nosotros in1970, to improve the image of Latinos in the entertainment industry, promote employment in front of and behind the camera, and to provide educational opportunities for Hispanics in the Performing Arts.
